Mind Eraser

Yesterday was great. Up at 10am and didn't stop to sit down until 2am the next morning. I've only been in Salt Lake for 2 days and I'm loving it more and more. The people are extremely friendly and welcoming.

Met up with Josh, Kristin, and both their families to take a hike at Ferguson Park. The trails and paths are nothing compared to the microscopic ones found in Indianapolis. These trails put Indy's to shame. The climate change is also amazing. You can literally feel the temperature just getting cooler and cooler as you walk higher and higher up the mountain. About half way up the mountain we found some rock climbers. I have never actually seen anyone rock climbing outside before. It was so great to stop and watch these people just going at it. Up and Up the mountain we go, the more amazed I get. Taking all the nature and beautiful scenery in is such a great feeling. We saw a couple of water falls (like the one posted above). The higher up you go the harder the trail becomes. Since the parents didn't want to hike too far up, we decided to turn around.

We drove back to the hotels where we had about half an hour to change before we needed to meet everyone in Park City for the dinner rehearsal. Park City is about 30-40 minutes away from Salt Lake City. Totally worth it for the views on the drive.

Josh and Kristin are getting married at Park City Mountain Resort (http://www.parkcitymountain.com/summer). What a great place to be getting married at.

Did a run through of everything and we were off to dinner! We ate dinner at Cisero's (http://www.ciseros.com/) which was delicious. They gave us crayons to draw on the table with, which Danny decided needed to be thrown over his shoulder and out the window (we were sitting on the second floor of the restaurant). By the end of the night, we only had yellow left to doodle with.

Dinner ended and back to Salt Lake we go. Instead of just sitting in our hotel rooms, it was in Adam, Danny and myself best interest to explore the city. I walked around the night before so I had a little bit of a handle on what bars were where. We found this old little hipster bar to try out. Before you knew it, we were talking to people who eventually bought us drinks. 2 Coors Lights, one Whiskey shot, and a Brain Eraser later we talking to everyone. We wanted to keep on exploring so left that place and headed to a bar called Bar-X but not before we met Sam, a valet worker in Downtown Salt Lake. Sam was not a mormon and loved talking to us. That or he was just humoring us. Bar-X wasn't nearly as inviting as the previous bar but we did get free popcorn. It was a little before 2 am when last call was announced. Walking back to the hotel I thought Sammy boy needed one of those orange flags that you have to cross the road with. Danny found a loose brick to give to him as well. We signed the flag and gave them as gifts. Sam's life has successfully changed, and I am proud to be the one who changed it.

We had officially survived a night in downtown Salt Lake. BOOM!
